Some companies begin with a business plan. Ours began with a young man, a work-study program, and a genuine desire to help people. The story of Bear’s Plumbing Services starts in 1989, inside the halls of Klein High School, where Eric “Bear” Eaves discovered what would become his lifelong calling. What began as an opportunity to learn a trade quickly grew into a passion for doing meaningful, hands-on work that made life better for the families in his community. Even then, Bear stood out for his willingness to learn, his determination to get the job done right, and his belief that every home deserved to be treated with respect.
After graduation, Bear carried those values with him into the field, spending more than 15 years working for a local Spring, Texas plumbing company. Day after day, job after job, he refined his skills, built relationships, and developed a clear understanding of what great service should look like. He learned that plumbing isn’t just pipes and fittings—it’s trust. It’s the comfort of knowing the person working in your home genuinely cares about the outcome. It’s about showing up with honesty, craftsmanship, and pride in your trade. These were the principles that shaped him as a professional and, eventually, laid the foundation for something bigger.
In the summer of 2005, Bear decided it was time to take a leap of faith. With decades of experience and an unwavering work ethic behind him, he stepped out on his own and officially launched Bear’s Plumbing Services. In the earliest days, there were no departments, no staff, and no one to fall back on—just Bear, his truck, his tools, and a commitment to building something real. He answered the phones, scheduled appointments, ran service calls, and earned the trust of one homeowner at a time. His approach was simple: be honest, be reliable, and treat every customer like family. The community noticed, and before long, Bear’s Plumbing began to grow.
As the business expanded, the workload increased, and it became clear that Bear needed someone he could count on—someone who shared his values and believed in the mission. That person was his wife, Corri. In May 2012, she joined the company full-time, bringing organization, structure, and a level of customer care that helped the business truly flourish. Corri took on the day-to-day operations, scheduling, dispatching, and the countless behind-the-scenes responsibilities that keep a service company running smoothly. Together, Bear and Corri formed a strong husband-and-wife leadership team rooted in teamwork, trust, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.
Their dedication didn’t just build a business—it built a legacy.
As the years passed, Bear and Corri’s son, Clayton, began to grow curious about the industry that had shaped his family’s life. At 15, he started working alongside his dad, learning not only the technical aspects of plumbing but also the importance of integrity and service. Every job became a lesson in responsibility, craftsmanship, and what it means to take pride in your work. Clayton continued helping whenever school allowed, slowly deepening his understanding of the trade. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2024, he made a decision that filled his family with pride: he chose to return home and join the business full-time. With determination and the same passion his father showed decades earlier, Clayton earned his Journeyman Plumbing License, becoming the next generation of Bear’s Plumbing.
Today, Bear’s Plumbing Services has grown into a full-service plumbing company supported by a team of some of Spring–Klein’s best and brightest technicians. These are people who share the same values Bear started with: honesty, hard work, and genuine care for the families they serve. While the business has evolved over the years, the heart of it remains the same—a deep connection to the community and a belief that customers deserve to feel supported, respected, and confident in the work being done.
